The Timeline of Jesus
- 6-4BC Born in Bethlehem from a virgin mother.
- 6-5BC Family fled to Egypt to save baby Jesus from Herod.
- 2BC Jesus and his family return to Nazareth.
- 7AD Jesus visits the Temple in Jerusalem for Passover at age 12. Jesus impressed the teachers in the temple courts. He calls the Holy Temple "My father's house."
- 26AD (summer) Baptized by John and The Holy Spirit comes upon him.
- 26AD (Fall) Jesus performs his first Miracle. Turning water into wine.
- 27AD (Spring) Performs many miracles at the Passover Festival. Taught about spiritual re-birth.
- 27AD (Summer) Healed and Baptised many in the Jordan River.
- 27AD Travels to Galilee and meets a Samaritan woman ( a despised people group) and offers her "living water" ( a new life).
- 27AD (Fall) Heals the son of a Royal Official.
- 27AD Jesus raises a widow's son from the dead.
- 27AD Heals Simon's Mother.
- 27AD (Winter) Goes on his first Preaching tour in Galilee.
- 28AD (Spring) Preaches the "Sermon on the Mount." One of the best sermons ever preached.
- 28AD Heals a paralyzed man in Capernaum.
- 28AD Heals a man on the day of rest and is accused of breaking the law for it.
- 28AD Jesus appoints his 12 students to go out and tell of the good news.
- 28AD (Summer) Teaches of the Kingdom of Heaven in parables.
- 28AD (Fall)> Jesus Commands a storm to be still and the storm became calm.
- 28AD Commands an army of evil spirits to leave two possessed men and enter a heard of pigs.
- 28AD Raises Jarius's daughter back to life.
- 29AD (Spring) Miraculous feeds 5,000+ people with only a couple of loaves of bread and some fish.
- 29AD Walks on water.
- 29AD Visits Tyre and Sidon. Heals the daughter of a Phoenician.
- 29AD Miraculous feeds another 4,000+ people with only a couple of loaves of bread and some fish.
- 29AD (Summer) Visits Bethsaida and heals a blind man.
- 29AD Jesus is transfigured (became white and radiant with a bright light) on top of the mountain.
- 29AD Pays taxes to Caesar's tax collector, Even though there was an expectation to fight the unfair taxes.
- 29AD (Fall) Miraculously avoids death by stoning because he said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am."
- 29AD (Winter) Once again Miraculously avoids death by stoning because he said "I and the Father are one."
- 30AD (Spring)Preaches near the Jordan River.
- 30AD Raises Lazarus from the dead.
- 30AD Passes through Jericho. Meets a rich man who repents and gives up his wealth for the Kingdom of heaven. Heals a blind man.
- April 2 Rides into Jerusalem on a donkey and is recognized as the true Messiah and King of the Jews.
- April 3 Drives out the merchants and money changers from the temple courts, declaring it "A House of Prayer."
- April 4 Jesus is anointed by a servant girl.
- April 5 Judas betrays Jesus and sells him out to the chief priests.
- April 6 Jesus has the Passover supper with Disciples. Tells them that he going to die and become the sacrifice.
- April 7 Captured and put on trial in the middle of the night. Found guilty of blasphemy and crucified on the cross and his death confirmed by the piercing of his side.
- April 8 His tomb was guarded by a squadron of Roman Soldiers.
- April 9 His tomb is found empty. Jesus revealed himself to Mary and the disciples.
- April - May Appeared before many witnesses and the Disciples.
- May Commanded the disciples to wait for the Promised Holy Spirit. Jesus floated up into the heavens.
- 2001 Jesus saved my life. Took away my pain and depression. Replaced my life with a new one full of love, peace, joy, wonder, and adventure!
I know for myself how the fruits of the gospel of Jesus Christ can
transform
lives from the ordinary and dreary to the extraordinary and sublime.
